Intelligence Specialist

ROCIC announces an opening for the position of Intelligence Specialist. ROCIC offers an excellent benefit package, including medical, vision and dental insurance, a 403(b) retirement program, and life and disability insurance. This is a non-exempt position.

Annual Salary: $43,251 – ROCIC Salary Table GS 7,1

DUTIES:

  • Receives inquiries and requests for information and assistance by telephone, email, or
    online from member agencies and other RISS Centers; reviews, enters and updates
    submissions; researches available sources, including ROCIC intelligence database,
    specialty databases operated by ROCIC, law enforcement sources, public information, and
    subscription services. Compiles and disseminates requested information in accordance
    with 28 CFR, Part 23 and the established policies and procedures of ROCIC.
  • Assists member agencies in establishing contacts with other member agencies concerning
    similar facts or cases and in obtaining information from other RISS Centers.
  • Collaborates with other intelligence and investigative units within ROCIC, its
    membership and other RISS Centers for trend/pattern analysis and law enforcement
    support products.
  • Travels as necessary.
  • Subject to law enforcement sensitive and potentially graphic or offensive material.
  • Responsible for assisting in the goals and objectives of the grant and any other duties or
    projects assigned by the Criminal Intelligence Unit Manager.

Clerical Assistant

Annual Salary: $31,520 – ROCIC Salary Table GS 4, 1

DUTIES:

  • Assists in general clerical functions of the Center to include data entry and
    correspondence within a law enforcement sensitive environment.
  • Assists in communication of training class schedules and general Center information.
  • Moderates virtual meetings and training classes.
  • Subject to law enforcement sensitive and potentially graphic or offensive material.
  • Assists in meeting room setups with ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Responsible for assisting in the goals and objectives of the grant and any other duties
    assigned by the Criminal Intelligence Unit Manager.

Data Entry Operator

Annual Salary: $31,208 – ROCIC Salary Table GS 4, 1

DUTIES:

  • Enters and edits information into the computer system with speed and accuracy including
    services, inquiries, submissions, Investigative Results Reports, log files, and phone tolls.
  • Prepares and verifies all report requests.
  • Must be fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite tools and able to learn, comprehend,
    and utilize other law enforcement/emergency management databases as required.
  • Answers multi-line switchboard and transfers calls as appropriate. Observes all security
    protocols.
  • Subject to law enforcement sensitive and potentially graphic or offensive material.
  • Responsible for assisting in the goals and objectives of the grant and any other duties or
    projects assigned by the Analytical Manager or the CIU Manager.

Publications Specialist

Annual Salary: $43,251 – ROCIC Salary Table GS 7,1

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Baccalaureate from an accredited college or university with a major in
Communications, English, Journalism or a related area of study.
Experience – Proficiency in written and oral communication and language skills,
proficiency in organization skills, computers and desktop publishing, ability to work well
in a team environment while requiring minimum supervision. Must have a working
knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Must have experience in web design and content
creation.
Skills – Ability to meet deadlines, Writing and use of correct grammar and punctuation,
Video-editing, Graphic Design, Editorial Design.

Multimedia Specialist

Annual Salary: $43,251 – ROCIC Salary Table GS 7,1

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Baccalaureate from an accredited college or university with a major in video
production, film, graphic, multimedia, journalism or communications or research related
discipline.
Experience – Two (2) years of relevant experience required. Excellent communication
skills required. Must possess proficient computer skills. Must have advanced working
knowledge of video equipment, editing software, and/or digital media control software.
Must understand online video environment and online distribution.
